Rachel Rozario

Contemporary Visual Artist

"We are tellers of a unique tale, yet all our stories are woven together into one storybook."

Artist statement

I’m Rachel Rozario, a visual artist from North Borneo, living and creating in Luxembourg.

My work is rooted in intuition, but often begins with a reference—an old photo, a still from a video, animal, or landscape. What draws me in isn’t just what’s visible, but the feeling behind it. From there, I let the process unfold, allowing memory, emotion, and meaning to guide the transformation from image to painting.

Each piece is a space for reflection. A pause. A moment to feel seen, to return to yourself, to be reminded that it's okay to move differently through the world.

Working in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, I build textured surfaces that hold space for both emotion and memory. I’m not chasing perfection—only resonance. Through color, form, and abstraction, I search for the moment when an image becomes something else: a mirror, a question, a presence.

I create for collectors and art lovers who seek more than beauty—those who want to live with work that evokes reflection, courage, and truth. My hope is that each piece speaks to the unseen stories within you—reminding you of what’s been forgotten, or awakening something yet to be seen.
